Piper’s Bike Park
Steel, Phosphorescent powder coating
Commissioned by Bob Hall and Daylight Properties, this public sculpture also had a functional purpose. Keeping bikes safe while giving a soft subtle glow when the light was just right from the phosphorescent coating. The concept came from architect, Frederick Stanley Piper, who designed the Herald building. He used many architectural features throughout the building that inspired these sculptures.
